⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ — Finally a farm we can trust. The beef is nutrient-dense, clean, and full of flavor. My kids notice the difference and I feel good serving it. We stocked the freezer and will never go back to grocery store meat.”

From damaged soil to thriving ecosystem

When Martha first saw the 168 acres in Whitehouse Station, New Jersey, the soil told a sobering story. Chemically farmed since 1933, much of the land was depleted and lacking biological diversity.

Determined to help restore it, Provenance Farms adopted regenerative practices including adaptive rotational grazing, diverse forage cultivation, and an integrated livestock system of cattle, chickens, and sheep — transforming worn-out ground into a healthier and more resilient ecosystem.

Today, cattle raised within our grazing system rotate across diverse pastures containing more than 40 forage varieties, from nutrient-dense alfalfa to trace-mineral-rich grasses and wildflowers. These practices are designed to improve soil health, support biodiversity, and produce exceptional grass-fed beef with rich flavor and strong marbling characteristics.

In addition to livestock raised within our own system, Provenance Farms also works with regenerative farming partners who share similar standards for pasture-based, 100% grass-fed production.

Every pound reflects our commitment to better land stewardship, responsible animal management, and nutrient-dense food.

From Kitchen to Pasture: A Chef's Mission

Martha’s journey from professional kitchens to regenerative farming began with a simple conviction: food should nourish both families and the land that produces it.

With 25 years of culinary experience and training from the Culinary Institute of America, Martha developed a deep appreciation for quality ingredients, flavor, and responsible sourcing. But after encountering 168 acres of chemically depleted farmland in New Jersey, she became equally passionate about soil health and regenerative agriculture.

Today, Martha applies the same precision she brought to fine dining to regenerative livestock production and sourcing. Provenance Farms raises cattle within its own grazing system while also partnering with carefully selected regenerative producers who share similar standards for 100% grass-fed, pasture-based production.

Her combined experience as both chef and farmer shapes the company’s focus on flavor, consistency, animal welfare, and land stewardship. The goal is simple: produce restaurant-quality beef while helping support healthier soils and more responsible farming systems.

“Every regenerative operation matters,” Martha says. “Every family we serve gets to experience beef raised with greater care for both the animals and the land.”

What does regenerative farming mean?

Regenerative farming is a holistic approach to agriculture focused on improving soil health, supporting biodiversity, and strengthening the long-term resilience of farmland and local food systems.

At Provenance Farm, we believe regenerative agriculture plays an important role in producing high-quality, nutrient-dense food while helping restore the land it comes from. Unlike conventional agricultural systems that can deplete soil over time, regenerative practices are designed to rebuild soil biology, improve water retention, encourage biodiversity, and support healthier grazing ecosystems.

Our approach includes adaptive rotational grazing, diverse forage systems, and low-disturbance land management practices intended to improve both pasture health and animal well-being.

By supporting regenerative farming, we aim to provide our customers with flavorful, responsibly raised food while contributing to healthier farmland and more resilient agricultural communities.
